Something a little different from the finished pieces, I had a few people comment on the canes, and wanted to know how they are done. So here is a quick little photo tutorial of sorts to show you. Keep in mind, this is all done in extremely small scale - BUT, being able to layer it like this makes the end result much more realistic.
This is for a Leek cane, it can also work for green onions. Just slice off a small bit, roll it in your fingers, and use an exacto knife or razor blade to create the leaves, and there you have it! You can also create roots on the bottom by using threads or craft fibre, and use a pigment wash to make it look dirty as if it just came from the garden!
