Over the years, I've been making mass-produced handmade greeting cards with 'funny animals' for many of my friends and relatives; but every once in a while, I like to make one-of-a-kind cards for special friends. Such was the case when I'd created several different birthday cards for Aldi during this decade. (Check out the "Marshmallow Perps" image - from one such card - in my gallery.)
This posted image came from a photocopy of one of my earliest cards to him - combining fine-lined black markers, colored pencils, Comic Sans text (made with Microsoft Word) and rubber stamp images of (various species of) animal cookies (stamped on sticker paper, so it can be positioned correctly). Adding digital color to said photocopy (using my Photo Impression program), I've touched up the inside image of this rare greeting card, which I'm presenting to the general public (with Aldi's permission) for the first time in over four years!
