there is something legitimately satisfying about big fat bosses. That being said, I don't know how much it would help him against Mario. It doesn't protect his head, and there is still the three hit rule (which needs to die, especially for a boss like this). If anything, at least he is probably bigger, so his head is probably harder to reach.
