I love castlevania, who doesnt love castlevania? the setting of whipping the crap out of flying medusa heads, undead skeletons, zombies, grim ripper and dracula himself! it was all good.
SOTN came around and changed a lot by tossing some elements from Metroid and RPG (exploring, going here, returning back, getting new items to reach certain places, leveling up) and so they continued on the DS and 3Ds, such memorable titles.
The evolution to a 3d platformer (since N64 i belive) its been difficult, not very accepted by some fans.
My favorite castlevania games? Castlevania III and super castlevania 4, but my guilty pleasures with curse of darkness and Lord of shadows (the first one) will always be there, i enjoyed them a lot!.
Blur is using Simon´s Beltmont outfit (lord of shadow version) prepared with his combat cross to fight dracula and sent him to sleep once again...
