Wish I'd managed to get this one to scan in a bit brighter, but, managed what I could with GIMP afterwards. Still couldn't improve it as much as I would have liked without disrupting the integrity of the original image.

HPL's Nyarlathotep, the Crawling Chaos. Can't ever get enough of this fellow.

Mmm.. I always get the impression that these designs could be carved into wood and appear quite beautiful.. and creepy in the night.

Thanks so much for the comment and fave- the idea of some sort of carving or bas-relief is exactly what I was aiming for. The Lovecraft stories that inspire much of my work have an emphasis on strange carven imagery, and I try to play off that.

It's really quite haunting. I imagine this embossed on an archway above a tomb. In which case I promptly give up my career as a tomb-raider. I don't have the boobs for it anyway.

Thanks so much for the comment! I'm very pleased that it gives off the bas-relief idea, as that's exactly what I often try to create, and this one was no exception. You'd be a cuter tomb raider than Lara anyway. =P
