I did sculpture stuff in highschool so I've had some practice getting 3-D things to match 2-D things before. Spending a bit of extra time on stuff though helps. It gets easier as ya go, but if I remember right, it took me more than a day of constant workin on the foam base to get the shape I really wanted for it :3
