It's things like this that make me feel like Elly would have no problem with the diapers. She isn't overly nosy or embarrassed by the pigtails. She mostly just laughs it off. Now I do get diapers are quite a step further but she doesn't seem to bare Star any ill will or feel any sort of resentment for her.

I don't see the diapers as being something that changes her perception in any way. The thing it can do is serve as ammunition for resentment that was already there or to bully Star with. Elly doesn't have any resentment for Star nor does she have any inclination to bully her.

With how lighthearted Elly is and how relaxed they are around each other I don't see her kicking Star out for some secret fetish.
