It always pains me when I refer to Kairo in third person since I feel like it distances me from my sona. To me, Kairo isn't just a character, he is both who I am and who I aspire to be. He shares many traits with me but with the added confidence and charisma that I sadly lack. Not to mention that I absolutely adore taurs. :3
But in all seriousness though, I've lost count of the number of times that I've felt tired of who I am and I know I have absolutely no prospect of changing that (let's face it, no-one's going to invent a special machine or serum that can turn people into other stuff and even if they do, it'll never make it to the public). It's all well and good pretending to be Kairo but deep down I know it's just not the same.
Sometimes I want nothing more than to run out into the night and unleash the foxtaur within, shedding away the qualities that have made me unhappy for so long and be able stand proudly on 4 paws. But at the end of the day it will only ever be a fantasy, one of which that can never be fulfilled.
Oh well, at least it makes a nice picture... x3

I've probably over exaggerated a bit with the description since there are, as you say, tons of potential problems with being a furry in the real world (especially for a taur like myself). But having said that, I would give anything to at least try it, even if only temporarily.
