Same issue here, the words are staggered against the viewer's eye... I don't know who to read first!
And as someone who struggles with eye contact, I'll impart to you that it helps unbelievably in these romantic pages. Of course, nobody's figured out how anthro kissing works... but nice handcup and muzzle twist near the end!

Not sure what to do about the captions. Seemed logical to me Maybe arrows that lead from one caption to the next one in order?
Yeah, anthro-kissing is basically impossible, and the closest thing I've seen that makes sense is from Blotch. They usually draw them licking each others muzzles, like actual dogs do with people they like. For my interpretation I was inspired by how Rukis did it in her Red-Lantern comic. But even with all her mastery, it looks like the muzzles are taking up space in a physically impossible way...so I settled for this version, which doesn't look as intense and passionate as CPR, but conveys some tenderness and intimacy.

Nah, it's all compositional stuff. When you lay out the next page, it pays to keep in mind the way the reader's eye will travel around the page... This one's good, we can tell which line comes next through context, but you can't rely on that to cover your butt X3
Usually you have to tilt the head... that's how I draw it, but it's still tough. You thought this out well, I see ^u^ It explains a lot about furries, that due to the anatomy, anal is an easier way to show affection than a kiss

The next pages will rely less on dialogue, as you might imagine, so that issue will be less pressing. Still something I might give more attention to when planning the panels. And you are right about the anal thing: that action might be not as romantic, but is anatomically more unambiguous
