I wrote her this poem while she was at work. I hadn't written any poetry since English class many years ago, but I think I did OK
On this, your 26th year,
I give a gift I hold most dear.
It may sound strange or odd at first,
But I hope those feelings will be reversed.
I give you my sweat, my blood, my tears,
For you to hold for all our years.
They sound so small but please understand,
I give this gift for a reason most grand.
One day I will be broken with little left to offer,
my body weak and near the end of my adventure.
On this day that comes to all,
I will not hide but heed my call.
For in this gift I give to you,
will be all the memories by us two.
So take this gift and hold it tight,
And I will forever be your Masked Knight.
