Eel, obviously.

What species it is, I can't tell from the photo, but definitely an eel.

How did you catch it? Aren't eels normally caught in traps? Or is that just how they do it in commercial fishing?

I catch them in the St Johns River in Florida all the time, just on a line with shrimp. This is the first one that was big enough to be worth keeping/cleaning/eating.

Yup that's a nice looking eel.

Here in the Netherlands they are a delicacy. they are often cured and smoked above an oak fire.
I myself catch them allot and smoke them in my own smoking drum.
Delish :3
