Like many space adventurers, Megan Hilbert often found herself puzzled over the sometimes mysterious and often down right incomprehensible differences between different planetary classification categories. For some categories the differences seemed pointless, like whether a completely toxic and uninhabitable gas giant was mostly acidic or mostly caustic, and for other categories there seemed to be no apparent distinction whatsoever.

The class H category had puzzled her the most, being nearly indistinguishable to her eye from a perfectly comfortable, habitable class M planet. In fact, of all the class H planets she found in the planetary catalogue, she couldn't find a single example that hadn't initially been classified as class M until shortly after the first manned exploration, which only made the difference even more puzzling.

But, as Megan would find out this fateful day, there was one crucial difference that set the class H planets apart from their class M brethren; a distinction that in fact made their name quite obvious in hindsight. Class H planets were, in fact, nearly identical to class M, except that the locals on class H planets are very, very, VERY friendly.
