Target Audience? O.. Pawsh..Simple.. 'My Little Pony' is a plastic toy series that was created by the Hasbro Co. in the 1980s to entertain young girls in the 6-15 year range. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Target_audience http://www.collectorsweekly.com/dol.....my-little-pony Somewhere along that line, an animation series was released for TV as a tie-in to basically 'push the product'. I find it amazing that the My Little Pony' animation has become one of the most lasting series on TV... Again I quote Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Lit.....28TV_series%29 So, there.
In this picture, we see simply the young child (almost a 3rd generation) who is genuinely pleased to be next to a hero from TV land.
Its also kinda starnge to me that most of the bronies and pony fans I have talked with have little interest in the older stuff(only antique/collectible dealers even know bout it). Man we are talking one of the LONGEST RUNNING CARTOON SERIES ON AMERICAN TV. But the adult male brony-fans are only concerned with the recent FIM series, likely due to reasons I CERTAINLY agree with- Great animation, good cartoon timing/gags, appealing character developement, and strong character interactions.
Strange some things. I can perfectly well understrand a father who becomes an admirer of MLP/FIM as he might spend each saturday morning watching MLP with his 9 yr old daughter. Thats Quality Family Time with your child. I guess this doesnt matter, but I Don't understand 40 year old guys (who might NOT have accessed the furry fandom before) who've fallen in love with MLP. I do not or cannot criticize ANYONE of ANY AGE who likes MLP, or Bugs, or Swat Kats and the list goes on... That is what makes us - well; US!
But then again: I am not a brony, but I Do like MLP/FIM. And most certainly, I am not the most knowledgable furry in this big world...

Why Thanks!!! I also think these small moments are sometimes what makes 'suiting so fun, and worth the expense, effort and all the sweat. I did see it several times over the AC weekend.
When I was working as a railroad engineer, I often felt that same happiness when a kid would run up next to the tracks and 'wave at the train' and I could wave back. It happened often, usually at a same location each run.
Yes I think this is why I love fursuiting.
