Custom deer plush made as part of an art trade with http://chibisilverwings.deviantart.com/

I had the pleasure of sitting next to her and her fiance at Anime Midwest. Besides being very fun and nice table mates, we talked about doing an art trade for a custom deer based on an OC of hers if we could find a decent print that resembled his clothing. I came across this pattern and showed it to her and received her approval, only to find it was out of stock on the website. She would end up coming across it herself at a local store and mailing it to me, although I wasn't expecting it to be a minky-like version of the print rather than the fleece one!

I work almost exclusively in fleece nowadays but I was still easily able to use this fabric in place of it, and it's quite soft and nice. At her request, the deer has a cutie-mark like bishop on it's butt, another throwback to the character it's based on.

And she doesn't know this yet but this is actually the large version of my deer plush, so it'll probably be a neat surprise when she gets it expecting the smaller one :)
