OH MY GOD I FREAKING LOVE IT!

That took pretty much all of one day to color, but it was fun. I have another one of yours I'm gonna post eventually. Its even more rainbowy.

My idea with this guy was that he's kinda a swamp sort of creature so that is why he has the greens, and I guess the rainbow could either be to find a mate or perhaps to attract prey.

Oh yes. Colorful to attract mates would totally work on the girls XD

Ah, okay. I guess they could attract other males if they wanted to, with those bright colors, not sure anyone could resist such a handsome fella. :)

Well with this guy I kinda laid out some general idea but didn't really go into depth with character development. I'm not sure if he's gonna be a one off or not. He's so complex I am not sure anyone else would want to try to draw him, LOL

I know, that's why people would have to make their own unless the artist is excited to. I knew it would be a problem but I like that people want to color them ^^

Sadly I think I am better at coloring that drawing itself. that goes to both traditional and digital art. But I am trying to work on that.

Awe it's tough but it gets easier. I have only been doing digital since may mostly (a few like, 4 scattered pieces throughout the years before that) and I am getting better and better. It just takes trying even if you feel like you suck. :< Which I REALLY did.

I am not sure how you were before, but that line art is amazing. Any suggestions you could give me would be appreciated, if you want to of course, hehe

What program do you use for starters?

Its called autodesk sketchbook pro. The free version came with my tablet, and I really like how its layed out so I bought the full version.

Idk if I know how to do lineart on that exactly. I use Paint Tool SAI, Photoshop, Artrage and GIMP.

Um... what part are you struggling with. The lines?

right now my main issue seems to be poses. I just cant seem to get away from the front on pose.

What I have done for practice, is find a photo of a person that has the pose you want, then lower the opacity and trace over it (a photo, not a drawing) and then alter it to match the char you want (for me, it ends up WAY different from the initial photo. Could you try that? Poses aren't copyright unless they are YCH photos or direct tracings of art.

I always figured that a tracing of a photograph could still be construed as a tracing of art. But there are a lot of photos that are stock and dont hold a copyright. I am sure I can find some. I think that is good idea. Thanks.
