These are some of the oldest models in my own and my Dad's collection of model planes.
The P-40B and Lancaster were the first models I had helped with when I was 13 years old. The P-40B is the very first model I had helped in, and was the first on display in my room for a long time. The P-40B is painted as a Flying Tigers AVG group, China, 1941.
The Lancaster was my second four engine bomber model kit, coming after my 1/48 B-17F. This Lancaster is a 1/72 British kit of a B. Mk. I. I had completely forgotten about his model, which has sat in a cabinet for almost a decade since I had helped in building it.
The Spitfire IXc is my Dad's, and it's a OLD kit. He bought the original model kit sometime in the 1990's (The model itself is a kit from 1968). Its by far the oldest model in our collection.
