The Commonwealth Games are being held in Glasgow right now and I belatedly remembered one of my characters is an aspiring athlete. ^^
Also all my characters are based in Scotland, so it's only a short(-ish) trip for them to get to the games.
They're there to cheer their friend on.
Khola Uzima has been training really hard and dreams of one day winning a gold medal for Kenya, at such a prestigious event. She runs in the 800m and 1500m, but only in a test event for Anthro-Athletes. It's difficult putting so many different species together and still having a fair race. The organisers are still trialling a classification system, similar to human Para-Athletes.
