It still boggles my mind. Someone "friends" me on FaceBook and asks if they can have permission to do some gift art for me of Jaru. I've never had anyone offer to make gift art for me before, let alone someone I have not had a chance to meet or chat with before. I feel honored at the request, say go for it, and we chat back and forth as he picks up details about Jaru's character and personality, and shares the work with me as it progresses over the next few days. I really enjoyed the conversations and am amazed at the result! Madz did a FANTASTIC job of capturing both how Jaru looks as well as his friendly, perky, approachable, playful personality Not only did I end up with a great badge out of the blue, but also a new friend that I look forward to having more chats with and hopefully some day cross paths with in person *snugs*

(Still amazed at all the detail: the concave dips at the top of Jaru's flopped ears where they fold over, the highlights to show the spiky fluffiness of his tuft of headfur, the detail in the irises, the attention given to the fur along the top of the nose.... The more I zoom in and scan back and forth the more I catch!)

I'll definitely have to think up a scene for him to do for me so I can pay him as he deserves for a commission
