Lol. Found your piece of art with keywords "evolution movie". This dragon creature actually was the thing that eventually led me into furry fandom. Though now I have almost forgotten her... Thanks for giving back some memories!

Maybe her beauty lies in her simplicity. You know, usually dragons tend to be extremely complex and sohisticated (and beautiful too) whereas this one is like a "basic" one with only the essentials.

By the way, this character actually has a name! Have you ever heard of it?

The name is Walmart Bird. You can try googling it. In fact they actually talk about "bird" when referring to this "dragon" in the movie, though bird might not be the first idea when seeing a creature like this. But even more strange in the name is this "Walmart" - where does that come from? The mall in the movie was Tumbleweed's, I think, so that should not be the cause.

I found the name in soon after watching the movie when I visited the movie's official web site where I could find some pictures of this and the other creatures. And soon after that I found the artwork of Amanda-Lien (and other furries) in VCL: http://us.vclart.net/vcl/Artists/Am.....1-by-date.html (the site is still running?!).

I used to be more of a scaly before I became a furry and I was definitely turned on by this creature when I saw this movie in theaters back in 2001. >//w//<
It's really too bad it didn't have more screen time than it actually did, I really think this was the star creature of the movie.
