That's an amazing song, lots of passion. I think I've heard part of it before. OH! Now I remember! I was thinking it might have been in Sweeney Todd! Now I remember where! I'm sure they used at least part of it, They used something similar to the segment from 1:14 to 1:44, where it climaxes.
After listening to the song Epiphany from Sweeney Todd, a second time, I understand why it was so difficult to place, they used a broken version of that segment, probably to convey the emotion of the scene.

Most of it is radically different from Vesti la giubba, but you'll hear it every now and then if you listen closely. I think the first hint of it is at 1:29 of the Epiphany video.
