The Church of Arceus Resplendent is classified as a cult by most authorities on the matter, as they have remained small in number for the many centuries that the faith has made itself known. Nonetheless, unlike some more doom-and-gloom cults, the Arceans are known for their charity, environmental and social consciousness and overall benign nature.
The child of lifelong members, Lybis had been home schooled for much of her early life, but a long-term mission forced her parents to enroll her in a pubic school. The transition was rough for the young Relicanth, and it was only with the help of a few fellow misfits that she adjusted to life among 'the free'. Those three friends became her team, and a combination of their parents' urging and the Church's own intrigue at this bond that allowed her to enroll in the PCA.
Lybis is quiet, thoughtful, slow to speak but always seeming to have the right things to say when her mouth does open. She acts as the Anomalies' spiritual center -- while none of them are especially religious, they find her presence, kindness and devotion inspiring, and she in turn finds their alternate outlooks on life very intriguing, referencing them against her own beliefs. Otherwise, she is, by teenage pokemorph standards, ridiculously conservative -- the Arcean lifestyle borders on ascetic in places, and Lybis actively limits her indulgences.
In a fight, she is by-the-book and perhaps a bit too rigid in style. Time will tell if she learns to improvise, but for now her tough skin, rock-hard head and surprising stamina keeps her in a fight.
