but after all the lack of sharing and generally being a bit....errr...possessive. I think it's important to teach him the error of his ways, so 10 minutes in the naughty corner aught to do the trick. 10 minutes is like an eternity. And then once he is out of the corner he will be made to apologise to each one of the cubs he upset. I'm sure he'll learn. Kids will be kids after all

I dunno about this.
Can you punish a cat for breaking stuff? Will it do anything to teach it? It doesn't' really know that you care or anything. Similarly, he's too young to understand actual ownership concepts.
But that begs the question to what extent the physical mind inhibits the mental development.

Siddy isnt a cat, he's a self aware child. You have to correct children and if he's old enough to say words then he's old enough to learn right from wrong. My sister in law has 2 children one under a year The one under a year still hasnt quite become aware yet so you cant teach him anything and one who has just turned 3, Zach is self aware and thus can learn things from the age of about 18 months when Zach could walk he was being taught things like how to share and how to talk and to say please and thankyoo and so I think Siddy is totally capable at that age to start learning how to play nicely.
Aww. <:'
Well, to tell the truth, it's better he learns now and not later. If you spare the rod, you'll spoil the child.
But ALWAYS show him that you love him afterwards. <:.3
*hugs the child*
Just let him know what he did was wrong and that you still love him. <:.3
Sorry if I trailed off. Just thought it would be nice to say this. <:)

You can't change a cub's personality in 10 minutes. And the apologies he's likely to give will not be sincere. What he's need is a lesson on compassion. If I were disciplining him, I'd make sure he had no toys or anything for a week, see how long he lasts without them, which will force him to use his imagination and take the time to look around.
Actually you can. !0 minutes is an extremely long time for a toddler. If siddy were a real toddler he would be crying by the end of the time out. He would so sorry and probably mean it. The trick is to continue to watch his behaviour after the incident and the timeout. A lot of times the reason it didn't work is because people either cave in on punishments or they do nothing when they see it happening again. Both are things that would enable the behaviour. Remember that as a toddler, most of their instincts and reactions are easy to see and correct as they have not built up the traits of dishonesty yet.
