God, I remember my first exposure to C&C. it was back in elementary school and I got the original C&C. I still play it. =D

Yes they did, along with two factions for each of the different armies. When I play as GDI the only faction I play as is the Steel Talons, because they get the Titan and Wolverine >:3

At the cost of propper infantry units >.<

I have all the basics and my engineers can shoot. Plus, the Wolverines with AP Ammo shred through opposing infantry which is their whole purpose. As the steel Talons I don't depend on my infantry I go mechanized anyways and build a crap ton of Titans, Wolverines and Mammoths.

Yeah, the Titan at least is still recognisable... the Wolverines look a bit different. For my part, though, I miss the third of GDI's walker weapon platforms... Mammoth mk2. The mk3 tanks just aren't the same.

They're not the same, but to be honest, I like them better...I do miss the wolverine and titan mechs though...

I'm a huge C&C fan, and the music is awesome.

Too bad Klepacki decided not to do C&C3 . . .

Both the Titan and the Wolverine were both added back into the expansion for C&C3 (Kane's Wrath).

While I don't think any RTS will really be able to match the fun I had in Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2, C&C3 is certainly giving me plenty of good times in it's own right.

And yeah, I don't think anything's gonna beat Tiberian Sun for me, even though the AI for multiplayer was onoxiously unforgiving at times >.O

It's a tradeoff that seems to carry over in all the C&C games. Easy is too easy, hard is insanely brutal.

While I do miss the extracted units, they're made up for by the Titan and Wolverine - which I feel are superior in all ways from their standard counterparts.

NOD is a lot better, but GDI still has a few things that i like. th wolverine for one is perhaps one of the best units that you can use, not to mention that the titan owns so much ass that it could start a strip joint, but other than that, GDI kinda sucks. anyway, now that i said all that pointless crap i think i will say something about the art. what to say...what to say...oh..yeah..um..i love it, like i always do. great work ipoke.

NOD has no advantages X3 units can't take shit and their firepower is way under what it needs to be >.<

hehe.. probably.. C&C3 had so many other people that it was changed a lot..

the titan has a very similar design to the robotical rail guns of the recently developed game named UNIVERSE AT WAR "earth assault"
the upper donut can close and create a "shield" (but unit loses weaponry and moves very slow...

Hmmm, haven't played it (or heard of it)...sounds interesting though :3

because the races do FEEL really different
its not just "different unit with different looks but same function"
the function of most of them are totally different
specially the invaders reace.
