Bunny Rany: Sony's Playstation Now
The journal I was talking about where I discuss my day and Guardians of the Galaxy can be found here.

This rant is mostly about the rip-off that is Sony's new rental service for PS4, PC and Tablets
Playstation Now
The entire setup is a ripoff, letting you rent things for 4hrs, 1week, 30days, or 90days.. and pricing is based solely on popularity of the title...
1week can be $5 to $15
I apologize that some of my prices were off during the rant, and have been updated on the side, but still are quite the rip off.
Full Playstation Now rental pricing can be found here

Seriously, I feel Sony really dropped the ball here and it is just as bad as the X-box One reveal last year.
It's simply nickle and dime price gouging.

I wish I could say when hearing this rant, this is the first time I've heard it, but I haven't. You are right...this is nickel and dime price gouging...
Oh 'AAA' game indistry, I don't even want to ask how much lower you want to sink...cause I know you'll just keep going as deep as you can...
I'm not sure what to be more angry at...I'm not against things as a concept but how they're actually put into practice.
In theory things like DLC itself, even Disk Locked Content (CrapCon aka Capcom...but lets not forget EA, Activision, Ubisoft, Microsoft, and so forth)...I could be okay with...if they wern't promply exploited because...there will be people who buy such things regardless. ...
How Sony is doing this is ...nickel and diming and it's shameful. It's...stupid, shortsighted...and it...it has to assume customers are fucking idoits and to a sickening and sad degree with how some games had sold anyway in spite of certain problems...like lack of Deticated servers in MW2...(yet some people bought the game anyway)... At least right in so much as assuming people will just buy things regardless.
...part of me wants to hope there will be such a backlash against this that sony will change their policies, but I suppose we'll see.
I'm doubtful as I'd rather see results before saying much, and given some past events I've felt too cynical to feel like ther'es much hope.
But then again...with how the Xbone has been and the major backlash from that (not that I was ever in a hurry for one to begin with...or even the 360...at this stage I think I'll just settle for a PS3 and if that's a problem for Sony...that's their problem...)...maybe...maybe.
I'd go on and on...but I'd rather do so another time and place. Perhaps when I'm not too angry...
Cause ...again...it's BS.

They'll fix it eventually, though I think comparing it to the Microsoft fiasco is like apples and watermelons.
It's not mandatory for owning a ps console, and thus it means it has a much higher chance of failure, without risk for sony, the price will kill it, or fix it, i'm going to guess fix it, but the entire idea of renting a game has always seemed foreign to me, so what do I know.
