That's a most remarkable piece of art. You have placed an emotion in the eye that lifts it into something far more than the original photo; I get an eerie sensation of the wolf being able to look right into the mind of the viewer. It's gone to the top of my list of wolf drawings for that touching expression.

Wow, thanks very much!!! I didn't expect to be able to draw anything like that, but once I started, it was like I was following invisible lines on the paper. And the eye stared out at me the whole time. I'll have to see if I can turn it into an avatar for myself. ^_^

PS. I know I changed the gender of the wolf for the drawing, I hope you don't mind.

Winter is definitely here |3 the walk from my warm(ish) car to the back door of where I work (Which is right next to the beach and WINDY) froze me to the point of shivering, and it was only about 20metres! D:

Urgh... I hate winters! Even thinking about the cold and damp makes my joints ache... >_<

It's raining in England. All the time. Mostly anyway. And it's humid and hot and annoying and the air con at work is broken and my joints hurt all the time. *sobs* Rant over.

It's always windy and humid here, stupid sea giving off moisture. Stupid wind tunnel of a city. Gragh.

I've got this lovely new fleece, which I adore completely (so what if it's bright yellow and like a tent?), but unfortunately it's too warm to wear it at the moment. And still my joints ache. *sigh*

Thanks! It is indeed with a 0.3 pencil, no clue what the lead is. Whatever the 0.3 lead one can buy is. I'm not very specialised with my equipment...

(So how long could you make them?)

And it's actually rather interesting too see this, in your avatar the picture looks really great and then in the full view... the picture is a collection of lines... How some can do this and I can't? Just a collection of lines, but when you look a bit farther... it is a wolf! Great picture.

Thanks again. This is the drawing that taught me to draw different fur textures. Before this, I could sort of draw the smooth coat of a horse, but when it came to anything longer, no chance. But it was simply the case of sitting down with one of Metassus's photos and studying the directions of the fur and trying to imitate that. When I look back at it, it's rather messy, but it does look good as an avatar. But yeah, there's no secret to it other than learning through practice.
