Got this the other week at the local Renascence festival, a real life K.C. Lund pattern welded seax blade, 5 inches of blade and gonna be amazing! Have worked up a design I am very happy with and will soon start building and carving the handle, which will be brass for the cross guard, Lignum Vitae for the main handle and a blood wood and ebony spacers. Will post up a pic of the design once I have it finished to my satisfaction, then it's off to the hard part *chuckle*
This is the first stage of a very long project, so hope you all enjoy the journey as much as I will. the name I chose "Thûlûg" means "Serpent Breath" in elvish, which I like because of the pattern in the steel. (Shamelessly stole the name, can you tell me where I got it? brownie points to the one who can)
