Spotting you cowering in the corner of his room, Rocky quickly slips his sneakers and socks off and lets you gaze at his steaming pawpads before he stomps you into the carpet.
It's been a bit of a quiet month by my standards, so to make up for it, I've got a picture which I'm sure you'll agree makes the wait worthwhile.
I'm pretty sure I teetered over the line into insanity at some point during the creation of this piece. I'm not exactly sure when - it might have been during the process of getting rid of the outlines again, or maybe it was during the several hours worth of texturing. I have no idea how long I've spent on this one, but I became somewhat obsessive with it looking as real as my current abilities would allow me to make it.

Heh - I hope you didn't think I meant I was going for a number of weeks or something. Trust me, I wouldn't post something as important as that in a submission comment! Heh!
On the commission front though, my request list is nearly finished, but my process for taking ideas after I've completed it will be much more stringent.

Woo. The perspective on this is maddening, and the detail as well. You've gotten very good at drawing in that 'moist' effect. =3 And I very much like the texturing put on the socks. It really makes them look better when its customed to the folds of the cloth like that, as upposed to how many usually deal with clothing by simply stapling some checkerboard texture to it. I also love that matted fur detail on'em. :3
Though I do have two suggestions, not exactly anything you did wrong, but the only two things that only stood out once I started looking for them.
While the pawslut in me enjoys that left foot hanging over the 'viewer' as if it were pinning'em for the impending stompage, The angle/position of the ankle and the foot looks a tad funky, I can't really place how and again this was only noticeable when I actually started looking for something that I comment about. The second is up towards his head, its proportions and all are spot on, however it looks almost as if he's missing his neck. Or at least from the way I'm looking I suppose.
Just a little of what I hope to be constructive criticisms, ignore that whole bit if its anything but. =3
Also on a final note; I'm seeing four or five spots that seem to have gotten 'corrupted' as if the pixels have just fallen right out. I can point'em out if I'm not the only one seeing those.

On the point about the ankle - I don't really think the ankle is actually visible in this piece (or if it is, it's mainly obscured by the arch of the foot) so I'm not entirely sure which portion you're referring to (provided it's not the grey area inbetween the foot and the shorts, because that's meant to be his thigh! Lol!)

That might be it. I'm looking at the top of -His- left foot's sock. I should have pointed that one out, my bad. And once again it might just be odd to my point of view, 'cause again overall it looks all well proportioned.

Oh, that leg. I see. Well yes, I know what you mean about that one - in all honesty, the angle of it in relation to his body (and the positioning of his knee) was always wrong, but I settled for it as it was because I was getting fed up of trying to draw the angle.

Holy bajesus! Nice work RRRex! This lineless approach is definitely working well for you, and from actually attempting it myself in the latest image I'm doing, it's not easy. Very well done.
On sidenote, been SO looking forward to getting a good look at the underside of Rocky's footpaws. I like how you've given him a heel pad as well as the usual ball pad. :)

Normally, if there are like 30 some odd 'OMG, WOW' comments on a picture, I either feel it needs no more comments, or I feel it needs something original.

Well... they kicked us out, yeah... but to be honest... we wouldn't have stood a chance against Portugal...
at least we left the tournament with dignity and weren't slaughtered...
After all... the goals we got were a penalty, a free-kick and an offside-goal!
And our team is getting stronger with every match...
I tell ya... we weren't yet able to kick out the Germans in the EURO... but in the World-Championship Qualifying .... we'll beat the French! XD

I know all about the insanity part. It's quite welcoming sometimes. Like a warm, vibrating blanket you can cover yourself in. I have to say, it's been a LONG long while since I've ever seen a foot look that amazing. And I've seen a lot over the years!

Heh - I'm afraid the TMNT animation project is probably dead in the water. Way too much work and never enough time, motivation or freedom to carry on with it. Sadly this is only compounded by the fact that, having started it 6 months ago, the improvement in my drawing since then means that I hate most of the early work I did on it. Aside from starting it all over again, I'm not sure I'll ever finish it.

I have to say that Rocky is one of my favourit characters of yours and I'm happy to see him finaly in such a pose! And it looks realy great! The muscles are more realistic then those on your previous pics with rexar. The fur-ditail looks great and fits to your stile and... the paws... mrrrrrrrrr I can't stop staring on them they're just fantastic!
Oh and by the way, I also like these socks shape, even if I don't into socks.

Dear Freaking God, Jesus, and whatever the hell else... This truly looks great. The paw looks amazing, as well as the cocky, and yet still goofy looking face... Reminds me of the big bad wolf<Yes, I know he is a husky> and the 3 little pigs for some reason! But here... he wins... hands down!

Absolutely excellent. The amount of work that's gone into this is incredible with all the textures and detail and even pure brilliant touches like the depth of field on the perspective from the foot to the face.

I would love to be under those pads. The warm soft fur and flesh, has to smell (I see a stink fog to the right of his foot) and lick too. Only thing worse if he drops the socks on you. then stomps That has to be bad.
Please give me the paw to hug. (I have the sudden urge to get a Roxar, EV, Growlmon, and a Rocky doll with real feel texture added. I'd seriously buy them)
