I finally ran across this little blast from the past and figured I'd share it. This picture was snapped around October of 2005, when I was working as a crossing guard in Dallas. As you can see, I came prepared.

The mask is the one that eventually went missing when I moved: A Plains Gnoll Mask (recolored to match my own wolfish features The mask designer really liked the way it matched my beard color.) from Kangena, a LARP Live Action Role Playing) supplies company in the UK. (They've since been bought out by Mandala Studios, though the Plains Gnoll Mask is still available through their website.) The cloak is my own, bought from the nearest SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) garber. (One of the many hard-working people that create the fabulous costumes they wear to their fairs and wars. Pray that never goes missing... the cloak cost more than the mask, even before you count the gas to drive halfway to Fort Worth.)

Apologies for the dirty scanner. I don't have anything to wipe it with that won't scratch the bed.

This look back comes ahead of purchasing another Kangena mask. You'll see it soon after I do...
