Because the term is consistently misused anyways, let's just butcher the damn saying completely haha. The tactician in me digresses....
Anyways, besides my idiotic efforts at a title, here's my latest half of a commission for
Akaikosh, the next being from inside the throat, looking out. Redid the scales around the skull, and used a heavily manipulated stock photo for the background tail, but other than that, all me. Was fun to do, and I made sure to keep it at a lower rate since I anticipated it would take an extended time due to my day job taking up so much of my weeks (I've literally been called in during the middle of the night every three days).
Can't wait to finish the second half for ya Ak!

Unfortunately, I couldn't really tell how the maw looked because I got new (good computer gear, with quad core, touch-screen and the works) gear and the colors are a little different since this screen picks up like 100 more colors. I can try to fix it if you like, but it might throw off some of the shading.
Absolutely love the colors of the mouth, and the slimy clingy drool looks wonderful too =D My only advice is to tone down the plastic wrap filter a bit, but otherwise, this is still a fantastic mawshot =D
The scale-work is also really well done! I can see that you put a LOT of detail into getting each individual type of scale to look just right.

Thank you, and will do! Actually, I want to try and get a photo of my screen one of these days, because I've seen this thing on 3 different computers and have gotten 3 completely different colorations. I'm curious what you guys are seeing compared to what I see.
Anyways, thank you so much for the mini-critique and I am especially happy you saw I tried to do various types of scales. A lot of people don't realize the snakes are more than just a bunch of square scales shoved together. :)
