The honorific Elian in the Eight Times Folded Lands, translates into Prince of the Skies in the crude tongue of the ground dwelling Bas. It is a term reserved only for the brothers and sons of Thando Aeihu, the King of the Sky of Skies and lord of all Mohondoro.
In time the Mohondoro of the Eight Times Folded lands grew weary of their lofty solitude. They desired others to nurture and provide new perspectives. Unfortunately the Mohondoro, a hybrid variant of both Faer and Elemental, are even more slow to procreate than their progenetor species so natural population growth offered little solace for their respective nurturing longings. This conundrum was solved by the choosing/adopting of The People; a mortal race of large mountain dwelling felines descended from the offspring of the ancient Pariko and younger Bas races.
Now, centuries later, the People are divided into Kiths, clans that follow specific mohondoro in a relationship that is both reverent, spiritual and very emphatically carnal. Among each generation of their Kith a Mohondoro selects one of the People to be their Chosen (note the capitalization) who fills a roll both as child and prodigy of the Mohondoro.
Here we have Tashenrao'I, (he who's voice wrings tears from the skies) and his mohondoro the Elian Ingonyama Thando. Judging from their posture, expression and all that lightning someone is about to get their ass beat. It is this humble observers hope that his invisibility spell is still functioning normally. Oh... oh dear.

I have to say I am both intrigued by the way you chose to write up the text for this picture (a scientist of Tesiare studying the Eight Folded Land and its people is not what I would have expected), and very amused--by how you switch from the dry academic formality to the direct and colloquial "someone is about to get their ass beat" and then the subsequent hilarity of "I hope my invisibility is still working--oh dear!"
This looks absolutely wonderful--spot-on in the details, mystically powerful, badass, sexy, and very detailed. Great job on Tashi's build here! I do wonder about the meaning of a few details: was the rose on the loincloth supposed to represent Yama being a green mage, or the fact his name Thando is Swahili for love? And what's with the chains with the giant tassels--does that represent Tashi having once been the indentured slave of Blackfyre, him being in service to Yama, or something else? Inquiring minds want to know!
P.S. It's Aiheu and mhondoro. ^_^

I shouldn't be surprised that you would post as much as you have, likely my most involved response to date. Mr. Nieve does nothing in small order. Okay then... This may come in a out of order response, but I'll try to answer your questions.
1) The story bit was written by your GM. I know very little about you group really.
2) The clothing selection was based on feedback from the last picture and info prior to this one's creation. My personal mental image of a Mage that of fully robed, the info I have picked from the source I had is that Yama likes airy and flowing. I figured if a character wants to fly and be free they won't be very heavily garbed.
3) The rose is carry over from the original picture. Info during the original picture creation addressed something about a rose and being a Green Mage. Also I figured if wet his clothing should melt off to as they currently are. The chains and tassels are simply for fun and show, plus give flare.
Your spelling correction has been noted and mentioned to The Authorities.
Thank you for the rather full feedback.

*chuckles and blushes* No, I don't, but in this case it's also an example of me being thorough, focused, interested in details, and someone who loves research and learning. ^_^
1) So Verdy told me when we met tonight, and he also mentioned he was tired when he wrote it. No worries!
2) The clothing for Yama is perfect, I never made any commentary on them--but your analysis is quite correct! While usually Yama does wear a robe, he is also often unclad or wearing very little, and even when wearing the robe it is usually open.
3) That's what I thought, it does make sense. And hmm, I see. I do think it makes an interesting symbolic reference to Tashi's former status as unwillingly serving Galadan and his men.
You're welcome!
