Well spotted! The other character is Calimero: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calimero He is a bit hard to make out in that pic.
And if you look at the far wall, in the top left corner, you'll see a picture of Rene Descartes. Which is totally unrecognisable until you know who it is. I kind of cheated on that one, sorry
