So, when you're exploring and adventuring around castles, and you don't have a rogue handy to make detect-trap checks, ALWAYS keep a sharp eye out for pressure plates... because you never know when a mechanical claw is gonna come out, grab you, and hold you in place long enough for a magically runed rod to pop out of the trap-door in the ceiling and start inflating you into immobility!
