When she encountered Tails in Robotropolis, Sally was able to summon the will power to not take him captive, and in the process regained her free will. She returned to Knothole with him, where she got cleaned up and got a new vest and pair of boots. As there was already a flesh-and-blood Sally living in Knothole, she decided to go by her middle name, "Alicia".

She then joined the Freedom Fighters, hoping to use her knowledge of the future to help them defeat Robotnik.
