Not entirely! There's still a sense of adventure. I think the shipwreck draws us in partly because of the dark ("wrong") sense of adventure. It lets us flirt with things we know we'll never get to. Kind of like sometimes we wish we could be really good at something, but have no desire to actually invest in the journey to get the skill. It's fun to dream. :3
If you'd draw this picture and put lots of detail in the rocks here, 'n add individual highlights to the seaweed and so forth - with (more) texture on the ship itself - you could easily add more detail on there to make them look like sacks. You do pretty well.. I think it's an experienced perception sort of thing? Hmm! :D
