This replica of the Mercedes 300 SLR race car is hand built by Kounosuke as one of his cars for racing. Consisting of an aluminium chassis, body panels, red leather for the seats and head rests and the engine from a wrecked 1988 E190 2.5-16 Cosworth which has been tuned slightly to produce 310bhp which is the same amount of power as the original yet more efficient in terms of reliability and performance. He even created a passenger cockpit lid to cover the passenger side when not in use and can be stored in the rear as the trunk can be opened or behind the seats as the panel that the head rests are a part of can be opened up to reveal a compartment made to store this piece just like the real car. The only difference between Kounosuke's replica and the real car is the lack of wind deflector due to his preference, a custom made mirror that compensates for his side and rear view mirrors and exhaust tips similar to those from the SLR Stirling Moss.
When using the car Kounosuke wears a brown sheepskin aviator flying jacket along with some World War II style aviator goggles and has another pair of those goggles for his passenger.
Note: How Kounosuke is able to make one of these is because Racer's Paradise is free from car based copyright laws from manufacturers such as Mercedes (a small price to pay to get rid of the racers and a nice one at that).
