Who on earth are you using as a manufacturer at almost $900 a unit? That's practically what Jets charge me for a one off? You must be able to get a better deal with them....

I think that's a worst case, like if we only sell one. I have no idea how exactly Lisko calculated these though. Hell I didn't notice until now that the max price he listed was that high.

The one off price for Barge was 1.5k though.

if you ask for a prototype, they charge more than a one off..... its bizarre.

They are CNC cut and then welded by hand, if it's a one off it's sometimes hand brushed or airbrushed, if it's a run of a few they will inkjet print the vinyl before welding

Dunno, they talk a lot about setting up the mold, I figure it's some sort of shape for the welder to go onto.

To be honest, its a ploy to excuse the amount they charge, the cost of the vinyl is low, the labour cost is low and the profit is massive.

Actually, Jetsonics quality is not the best, especially the QC at the end of the runs however they are willing and don't make you wait an eternity.

Yup, but they've proven to be good enough. Now that they're rising prices again, I'm pretty sure we're gonna find another company to do the toys for us in the future. Right now I have a small list but can't afford to buy samples before end of this year.

I'd personally say a toy like this should cost max 400 USD. That means it's gonna cost about 700 EUR for me with shipping, VAT and everything else added. That mean we would need to make ~60 of these, maybe one hundred.

It's a little tricky for me, I want the quality to be better but I make quite a bit of cash repairing toys for people, if jetsonic improved, it would take money off me, I want the toys to be better but I also like earning that bit of extra money, my business sense and my love of inflatable toys are locked in bitter internal conflict :p

Start doing mods for us, problem solved :D
