Regular fly?

It's definitely not a fly (it's wingless).

i cant really tell from that pic.... but whatever it is i dont like it xD

Not a bedbug for sure, I'm normally pretty good with bugs, but from this picture I can't tell. Look up house bugs in your area, or try n find another. Search your room just like you would for bedbugs and you'll find something if theres anything. Chances are it's just a stray. When I lived in Kansas (for 11 years) my roommate and I would find atleast 2 or 3 brown recluse a week, and often between our beds and the wall, and in 11 years we didnt get bitten once.

Wow. Thankfully I've never seen seen a brown recluse here. Just a dead widow.

I've been attempting to look up insects of various types, but no luck.

Looks like a squished tick or bedbug

Not a tick. i have lots of those at my place. to kill a tick ya gotta burn it to head or squish its itty bitty head which is hard

Definitely not a tick. I found one on me in Richmond while in the house. I thought it was a scab, and was a lil tiny tick. It made a slight *sssss* noise when I burned it.

They do that o.o i am terrified of ticks. i got a scar fromm one once and that little bugger hurt bad. not sure what that is though. reminds me of a flea, but i am not sure. and i dunno what a bed bug looks like

It may be a bed bug, I don't know if you guys get assassin bugs there? And if it's very small, flea.

Can't really tell from the photo, even enlarged (the resolution is a little low), but it is not an arachnid. This means not a spider, or tick. it is not a bedbug, either female or male. Bedbugs have a specific shape for each sex, and that's not it. I would guess some sort of beetle. Or even a bug. Generally speaking, the obvious difference between a beetle and a bug is the mouthparts. Beetles chew, while bugs suck. Likely a beetle.

A flattened bug that kind of looks like a fly. That all I can suggest right now, other than may want to put a coin beside it for size comparison?
