I've had an issue like this. Renaming the file on my computer and then changing the submission file on FA and then refreshing the page worked for me. *shrugs* I don't know if that'll work for you, but it's weird and I don't know why it does this.

If you have windows then go to edit picture and rotate it.

If you have windows: Go to where the picture is in the folder; right click; click 'preview'; when the window comes up there are buttons on the bottom and find the one that says rotate. Rotate it and exit, it should automatically save it for you.

Weird thing: when I get to that preview screen, the rotate buttons are opaque and don't work. I really have no idea what to do. Because when I pull it up, the picture is right side up. It only turns sideways when I upload it to FA.

Hmm.
If you used a iphone, this will probably happen all the time. That's how it is for me anyway.

Get the app InstaEditor.

Just choose a photo from your phones gallery to InstaEditor that you wanna upload here.
Then save, don't even have to do any editing to the photo.

Then when you submit it to fa, once you get to there area were you type the info about the picture. Refresh the page first. Then type all your info and you should be good to upload the pic without it being sideways.

You can try refreshing, it may turn out flipped the right way for you as well.
