After Effects CC. There's probably better software for animation, but I know AE really well (and have it) so I just went with that.

Thankfully there's a $30-per-month subscription of the CC version; good for using it for a few months between working for places that have it.

It is useful but you will lead an overall happier life if you do not use it. It has high processor/RAM requirements, crashes frequently, and literally devours the happiness of the user in order to function.

But my ULTRA MEGA COMPUTER can handle it. Seriously, it's worth $6000 dollars. Built it myself! Plus, I got all the Adobe programs for like, $300 cuz I was a college student.

Yeah; I had a yinglet head with animated assets, so naturally there'd be a derp in there somewhere. I didn't even really consider it; it was more of a foregone conclusion.

You know, I love your Yinglets so much I may just have to ask you to poke me if you ever open up commissions for them :D I would love to see a Kaero-Yinglet :D

I too have been getting in the mood to draw non-comic stuff, especially yinglet-ized versions of others' OCs. We're nearing the end of the prologue, so other stuff will probably be starting up soon.

I will tell you that I like animating things so this isn't the last you'll see!

For instance, I've had in mind an animation of a yinglet running for a while; I really want to make it known how it looks when they walk and run.

What *I* most want to see is Kess' transformation animated! Now *that* would be a project - but an utterly cool project!

Would love to see them running, and that made me think it would be great to have a bone structure ref!

Honestly, I chose it when registering for FA because it was one of the few animal-type characters I'd drawn up to that point (and I love birds way too much), and figured it would be a good avatar because I've noticed my online persona is kind of like a faux-cantankerous old lady.

I figured something animated/flashy/eye-catching might catch a bit more attention, though! Still, this was more of a first-time test, so if/when I make another, it might be of this bird again.

Has anyone come to you and asked permission to make a Yinglet character? You might become the next mick39. Just think; with a powerful visage like hers, little Kassie could be your Rain Silves. B]

Honestly, just the derp part would work for an icon. Hmm, maybe you should consider an icon/banner-type thing to represent the comic at some point? Such things seem to be slightly less common here than DA, but it might be a useful way to spread awareness, no? As for drawing things less related to the comic, bring it on! Draw whatever keeps you drawing, ya hear? Only then can you achieve- World Domination!!! ...Or, at least avoid burn-out. Looking forward to whatever may come!

Aye, making an animated, eye-catching, comic-related avatar was my goal for this... before I got carried away and made it too long to keep under the avatar filesize restrictions. But hey, got a nice little animated gif out of it!
