Unwahrscheinlich, dank der Globalisierung, gibt es keine klaren Trennung-Merkmale mehr.
Das ist nichts Schlimmes, aber jemanden seine Herkumft anzusehen, geht einfach nicht mehr.
Man kann nur noch raten und hoffen recht zu haben.
In den Fall hier lag sie einfach immer daneben ^^

and with my wife who is fluent in french
they insist with English since the looks kinda Latin American :P

Not at all far from reality though, so many different languages come to EF.
My first year was a lot of confusion - I live in France, so my badge had the little French flag on it. I, however, spoke very little French at the time. I had random people coming up and speaking to me in French I don't know how many times... I used a little sticker to cover up the flag, and that got folks to ask what language when they wanted to speak with me :D

Knowing five or six languages well is a requirement in some careers and some areas.
A professor was talking to a physicist about a recent experiment, but during that meeting the physicist got interrupted by several telephone calls from various colleagues, and each call was in a different language.
The professor finally had to ask the physicist to, "Start over. You lost me after the third phone call!"
The fun doesn't end there, though...
