I read quite a bit but usually not novels, mostly nonfiction and poetry. For me, poetry is about deriving the most meaning out of the fewest words. I was in a small poetry group in highschool but I didn't fit in well, they were too.....modernist for my taste, and Shakespearean sonnets are so stuffy. I prefer the romanticism of the 1800's, Tennyson is my favorite. In Memoriam is my favorite poem by him.
"...I hold it true, whate'er befall;
I feel it when I sorrow most;
'T is better to have loved and lost
than never to have loved at all."
-Tennyson
the little quote in the picture is a snippet from some prose I wrote
"...to look upon it in its breadth, and I understand that I, myself, am but a spectator in its glory..."
