Magnus Callahan, though better known simply as “Sheriff,” is perhaps one of the most fearsome law enforcers in Interpol. He is an Inspector who is known for his talent to give productive yet destructive results of his assignments. Where ever he goes, he leaves behind numerous explosions, maddening car stunts, crazy shootouts and heavily traumatized and charred criminals in capture. Truly, Sheriff became something like a bogeyman of the criminal underworld, as well as his superiors’ whenever they receive his damage reports after every finished assignment.
PERSONALITY
Sheriff is an honorable, hardened and determined individual who dedicated himself to bring justice upon the wicked thoroughly, usually ends with explosions. His confidence in his work often puts him in extremely risky situations, like his hobby to ride on top of his police car like a chariot and let either Deputy or another officer take the wheel like a “stead.”
He is well aware that his methods can be quite devastating to his surroundings and he feared for the day that his fellow officers would get caught by them but he could not fully compress his compassion for law enforcing and deep down, he actually enjoys the thrill of danger. This is why he personally trained his partner Deputy to get accustomed of his ways and make her more independent to his line of work as well as establishing a special bong between him and her.
Despite his explosive reputation, Sheriff is widely respected among his fellow officers at Interpol and his former department, especially Deputy, as a professional criminal catcher and a hero. He was able to discover security flaws and took down countless gangs and criminals long before he met Ebony & Ivory.
He has a soft spot for dogs, which occasionally made him pay special visits to police dog kennel and secretly play with them. Some people suspected the reason why Sheriff took a shine on Deputy is because of her dog-like loyalty.
HISTORY
Sheriff was originally with the New York Police Department, along with Deputy who was a rookie back then, but was recruited by Interpol after they caught on to his reputation. Under his urging and special recommendation, Deputy was recruited as well along with him.
THE FATEFUL CASE
Sheriff had received an assignment to arrest the infamous criminal duo, Ebony & Ivory. Though finding it odd with the case, he took it anyway and begin hunting together with his partner Deputy.
Both Sheriff and Deputy soon came to learn that Ebony & Ivory are quite an capable duo and managed to slip past them and escape their every capture, though with only an inch of their lives intact. Since then, it has been a game of cops and robbers across the world as Sheriff stubbornly continues his pursuit.
As he learns more and more about Ebony & Ivory and their deeds against the criminal underworld and their extremely minimal civilian casualties, the more he is beginning to suspect as to why Interpol issued these vigilante pair’s arrest with a world class threat level…
TRIVIA
• It is unclear how long Sheriff grew his mustache but it is said it grew from the start of his career as a cop.
• Though not much of a sports fan today, Sheriff likes to collect baseball cards and watching boxing matches on television back when he was a kid.
• Before joining with the police force, Sheriff worked as a rookie boxer. It was from there he developed most of his pugilist techniques. Had he not joined with the police, he could become a professional boxer today.
• Sheriff is a lover of old Spaghetti Western and likes to watch them during his days off. It is also the reason why he didn’t much mind being called by his nickname.
• Sheriff refrains from mentioning anything about his family, hinting that he might have bad relations with them.
A/N: Here is it, folks! Another new character for the Ebony & Ivory-story done! To be honest, I find the mustache to be the finest detail added to this character. You don’t normally see a black man with such a mighty fine mustache. lol Sheriff’s partner Deputy coming real soon!
