No that's quite relevant! From where? I was taking it from Albuquerque, so there wasn't a damn thing but desert to see the whole way

from Irvine ca generally. I'd either get picked up at the station by my dad for a long drive to his place in palmdale or else get on the metrolink. not nearly the length of coming from Albuquerque of course but when you're 10 it seems like quite a long ride all alone.

I've taken many train rides across the country, myself, back in my vagrant traveling days. Bus rides, as well.

And why travel so much? There was always this feeling. Kinda like, "Where's the good in this damned world? I want to find it!"

Of course, traveling was generally a positive thing for me, and looking out into the night as lights and stuff swooshed by made me feel alive. I don't know if that applies to you or not, so we may be different in that regard.

But yeah, this speaks to me!
