Sometime after the incident, Luigi and Toad along with Baby Mario, Baby Peach, and Baby Daisy were back at the Mushroom Kingdom Castle. The babies were left under the care of the cheerful and helpful Toadette while Luigi and Toad were busy placing the star meteor piece in a safe place. The two were in the basement level of the castle's keep and began securing the fragment in a heavy vault.
Luigi: Let's hope that the star piece is safe here.
Toad: Yeah, but there's still the other problem. Getting the others back to normal.
Luigi: You're right, that too.
With the real issue of making Mario and the princesses their proper ages again, Luigi pondered any ideas worth mentioning that could be a possible solution. At that moment, he thought of a probable suggestion.
Luigi: I may have an idea.
Toad: What is it?
Luigi: I tell you on the way back.
While the two made their way back to the main hall of the castle, Toadette was busy looking after the babies in the middle of the main hall. Mario and Peach were playing with some toy blocks, and Daisy was having fun with pulling on Toadette's braids.
Toadette: Ouch! That hurts Daisy!
Daisy: *continues pulling on Toadette's braids*
Mario & Peach: *playing with blocks while giggling*
Toad: Hey guys!
Toadette: Toad! Luigi! Thank goodness.
Daisy: Weegee! *tries walking her way to Luigi, but falls on the way* WAAHHH!
Luigi: Oh no! *rushes to Daisy's aid and picks her up to comfort her* You okay Daisy? *cradles her*
Daisy: *her crying is reduced to whimpering*
Toad: Were they okay while we were gone?
Toadette: Well, Peach and Mario were not a huge hassle. Daisy was more occupied with pulling my braids. I think she missed you Luigi.
Luigi: Well I'm here now Daisy. *smiles to the princess*
Toadette: So how can we turn them back?
Luigi: I thought of that, and our best bet would be to contact Professor E. Gadd about helping us.
Toadette: You mean that weird guy that made all those gadgets for you and Mario?
Toad: The very same guy, but we still need to have him come here to look at the star piece. We could take the piece to him, but there's no telling what will happen on the way.
Luigi: Hmm, good point.
Toadette: We could just think about this overnight. I'm sure Mario and the princesses are going to need a nap soon. How about we save the problem for tomorrow? What do you two think? *looks to Mario and Peach*
Mario & Peach: *both giggle in agreement*
Toad: Good idea, I know I'm tired myself.
Luigi: Sounds good to time.
Daisy: YAAYY!
By the time group began to take their leave from the main hall, there were several knocks on the main door.
Toad Attendant 1: Who could that be? *opens the door*
Toad Attendant 2: What is that?
The two attendants bring in a rather big present wrapped in red with a gold ribbon.
Toad Attendant 1: What do you think is in it?
Toad Attendant 2: No clue.
Unbeknownst to attendants, there is a nasty surprise in store for them. The same can be said for Luigi and the others.
