So yeah, repost b/c still couldn't find the solution with the smart quote issue. And previous description was pointless so anyhoo, I give you the fifth addition.
The night after the gig.

Ondalo University’s campus that Sunday was calm at the breaking of the dawn. The skies were gradually emitting deep scarlet hue and the morning sun began to peak from its slumber while other students will still be in theirs. From within the campus, Gale is seen rhythmically jogging around the school’s interior perimeter.
Gale feared of his father’s retribution so he went back to his apartment with a prepared alibi of ‘accidently’ forgetting his textbooks at the university and decided to stay there to study.
Even though it seemed a like valid excuse, Gale worried of the repercussions of his father discovering his misdeeds and disobedience.
It was terrifying yet exciting, although generally not an extraordinary action– going to the concert against Howard’s orders was a significant moment for the wallaby. Gale was much too restless to sleep and decided to begin his daily morning jog at an extremely early time.
Ten minutes until six, Gale made his way out the school’s gates and towards his apartment, replaying last night’s events. He doesn’t want others to know about his upbringing, since it usually invited directionless sympathy and he loathes pity. Having others view him as frail is a description that Gale has constantly prevented; however, after Trev got the story started, Gale decided to give the ending as long as he showed his collected composure of having overcame the experience. The others didn’t seem convinced; especially Lennart...but at least they did not offer any empty apologies on an issue that is set in stone.
Gale reached his living space and saw Kent passed out at his desk with the lamp still on, reflecting a pool of drool. The wallaby lifted the marten and gently laid him on his bed like he’s done often for several patients at the hospital.
The marten stirred lightly, “uggh…whu…whymmy wehzz?”
“You went for a swim.”
“…thaz funzzz…”, and Kent immediately began snoring, all curled up under his sheets.
After Gale took a shower, he was finally exhausted enough to sleep but his phone began vibrating just as he sat on his bed.
Of course it was his father since nobody else knew of his number.
“Good morning, sir”
“And might I greet you with a ‘good evening’ for it seems your voice carries no vitality and are about to lounge on your mattress, I presume.”
“Oh, are you still working?”
“No, I had other…errands that required my attention. I call to show my gratitude for you on taking up work on short notice.”
“Father, you know I don’t come in on Sundays.“
“I see… it seems as though the notification I’ve sent you yesterday did not reach your thoughts in time. If you are not at the hospital, may I inquire of your current occupied location?”
“ I’m actually at my apartment right now. I…forgot some important books so I decided to study here for the night. I am able to return to the household if you require me to do so.”
“As of this moment, Gale, I would rather have you rested before showing up for your shift this afternoon.”
“Thi-This afternoon? But father…I do not mean to present contempt but I honestly don’t think I will be able get enough rest to function well by then.”
“Nonsense. You have enough time to rest for a 3-hour shift and then you may have this entire incoming weekend to yourself. Meredith would very much appreciate your cooperation in managing the patients.”
“But what about my studies?”
“What of them? You have just informed me that you spent an entire night as well as Saturday on that task so I’m sure you have retained quite enough information in preparation for your exams— … unless, you did not and were elsewhere?”
Having been mentally and physically debilitated by now, Gale quickly decided to end the conversation in the accustomed deferrable manner before any regretful actions are committed. “No sir, I will try to get some rest as soon as possible and arrive for today’s shift as you asked. I’m sorry for my complaint being of inconvenience.”
“Thank you, Gale. That’s all I wish to hear— I’m arriving at the household now so I may get some rest—Sleep well.”
Gale hung up, set up his alarms accordingly, and finally lie down but his ringtone alerted an incoming call. His father must have forgot to tell him something.
“Good morning, sir.”
A light chuckle was audible on the other end. “Well, Mr. Let, I’m quite smitten by your introductions as always.”
“Len?!”
Kent stirred a bit before returning to his dormant state, as soon as he did— Gale continued quietly, “How’d you get this number? I haven’t even sent you my info yet.”
“I got your number from Trev. He said he wanted to save you the effort of personally relaying any more private information after the night.”
“Listen. If you are going to express any words of comfort that you forgot to say last night, save me the effort of listening to it.”
“That’s fine, bummeroo. I didn’t plan to give any. Haha~ I just wanted to ask on the band’s behalf if we can take you up on your word of joining us for an impromptu ‘chill-out’ that’s a week before the New Year’s Party.”
Gale blanked out from Lennart’s comment before responding, “So…Christmas Eve? I’m not sure since my father always host a-”
“-Sacrificial ritual?”
“-family dinner where relatives come to stay for the night. It’s one of the rare moments that he would unprofessionally socialize with anyone, and this is being said while considering our own family.”
“Your life’s charm increases the more I hear about it. But in all honesty, young bookworm, if you can make it—It’d mean the world for Rushlight, especially for Trev. He’s still ecstatic of your attendance at….last…night’s…”
A lot of shuffling began to emerge from Lennart’s end, “Lennart? Your sentences are breaking up. Hey!...”
A brief moment passed after the rummaging a voice finally answered although hastily, “Hey yeah, Gale. Uhhm, I’ll tell Trev about your invite and he’ll send you the fo. Yeah, cool? Can’t wait to see you there. Peace.”
“Wait- what? I didn’t say I was going. Lennart, what’s happening over there?”

Lennart hung up his call and checked the balcony window again to see if what he saw was hopefully just a hallucination. But there, he saw the figure making its way toward the apartment building, which then followed a buzzer.
“bzz..zzz…Lenn-..LEN! Damn thi…broken..a..s. Open this do…r…”
Lennart begrudgingly activated the unlock buzzer and prepared another mug of coffee, he really needed it.
The clopping of heels were prominent as each step sounded like a storm in rhythm with a metronome until heels concealed and was replaced by stern knocking on the wooden frame.
Lennart opens the door and greets with an amicable though forced smile. “Morning, sis.”
The dress-suited figure rushed in and was in the midst of taking off her dress gloves, paused and scanned the room, then pulled them back on.
“Lennart, I need you to uphold that favor you owe me.”
“I’ve never owed you anything. But since you’ve brought up the I.O.U.’s, I was hoping you would-“
“Fine, ‘I.O.U.’ another. I’m in a dire need for some help about the Paige issue.”
“What? What’s wrong with Paige? Is she sick? Oh geez, I hope she didn’t catch the flu going around lately. Claire, does she need to go to a hospital? Wait…if she did then you’d probably gone with her…maybe just need a check-up or…”
“Uggh. Enough. Not even Francis worries about his own daughter to this degree. I need you to look after her while Frank and I are away overseas.”
“No can do. I can’t let you constantly expect me to drop my plans at your convenience, especially since you haven’t even tried asking Mama and Pa.”
“Oh, I’m sooo sorry. I just assumed you would jump at the idea of spending time with your own ‘daughter’ that you seem to ostentatiously spoil.”
“Why would you think I would like to babysit, and also, spoil? Hardly.”
Not amused, Claire walked toward the bedroom hall while Lennart hastily followed after, “wait…Claire. Don’t go in my study, that’s private!”
The female Lemur entered the supposed study room, “mmhmm…right, your ‘study’.”
Hardly a Study at all— Rather, it seems to be a chamber, designated for the prestige of a princess. Regal gold patterns strewn around the walls with a carpet as soft as clouds alongside decorated snow-colored furniture neatly composed within the space: a sheen desk that gave the essence of marble, an golden floral-embellished wardrobe, and the crisply tucked bed with golden lily designs dancing on the blankets which is presumably made of silk.
Trying maintain his composure, Lennart mumbled,” It’s just a little…renovation. Just in case, when I DO have the time to care for Paige I would be prepared for her to-…how did you know…?”
Claire pulled out the decently sized and colorful package from her bag, “This came in when I tried to reach you the other day. The deliveryman mistook me for you and I signed it for it. Really…who does that idiot think he is to have taken me for a man.”
Glancing at the shipment, Lennart was thrilled,” OH! I’ve been waiting for this to arrive for a week, I’ve contacted the store many times having been told that it was delivered. Now the canopy bed set’s complete!”
“Lennart, this room is like looking at a damn catalog advertisement. The store told me you’ve been on a shopping frenzy, ordering these objects that Paige grew out of. Still want to debate on the accusation of smothering a child with consumables? I mean, you bought her a make-up station. She’s thirteen.”
“Hey, you don’t know that. She’s still a child because even if you grow physically, you can still be young at heart. A once great physician said, “It’s never too late for a happy childhood-“
“Please toss your overtly cliché seeds of knowledge back into the cornfield. I just wanted your word on taking care of Paige. If you don’t I’ll ruin the surprise by taking a picture of the room and send it to her, which means you won’t be able to see her reaction.”
She started to pull out her phone and gestured into a photographer pose while Lennart attempted to snatch it.
“NO! Don’t! Dammit, fine! When will she come?”
Claire’s lifeless expression finally broke into a victorious grin, “I’ll be have her here on the evening of the 19th. You’ll be able to spend Christmas with her. I’ll send a gift as well.”
“*sigh* There’s still one more item coming in but looks like it won’t make it on time before her arrival.”
“Don’t worry, Lennart. What you’ve done so far is…more than ludicrous enough for Paige to handle. Trust me and anyone else who lays their eyes on…this. Anyways, sorry I can’t stay for coffee, my people need me.”
Claire was out the door and down the complex’s stairs as swiftly as a hurricane that dumped her debris of problems in her tracks.
Lennart placed the package on the counter and chugged his mug, then grabbed the second as he left for work.
