On a related note, I decided to poke at a larger list than the top 20 songs that XKCD did. So far I'm halfway through the top 100 and I've got...one song from 1930, two in 1980, and one in the 2000s. Everything else is 1940-1970 (6, 16, 16, 8 respectively).
Dear god. I hope this trend doesn't continue.
