This was me feeding the squirrels down around the Ellipse near the White House in DC. I never been this close to squirrels before, these little ones would almost (not quite) climb on you for food. Too adorably cute!

Squirrel claws are impressive, aren't they? It kind of feels like they could pull a Freddy Krueger on you if they wanted.

Yeah, I think they could do a tune on you if they wanted. These guys fought a lot amongst themselves (there were maybe 6-7 squirrels around) the last time I went but were all very gently taking food from me.

There's a lot of squirrels in my little town. They're all red/orange 'cause I live in Poland. They also eat from hands and sometimes climb on people. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c.....e/P5221589.jpg

I remember this when i visited DC like 10 years ago. I couldn't believe how close the squirrels came to the people. And that's all i remember about DC!

Honestly, that's probably the best. DC is okay I guess, the Natural History museum is nice and it can be fun walking around if it isn't super hot. The squirrels being fearless is definitely cool though. Makes for awesome photos (I need to get more).

So far, I have to agree with you. They are the tamest ones I have ever seen. I never really got to ever pet one before, maybe if I keep going I can eventually get the opportunity.
