Ah, first of all thank you so much! This is the most meaningful comment I've ever received, really you take the sentiment of a wolf's nature alongside humanity's and lay it out so eloquently...better than I ever could! I agree and share much of your sentiment.
Wolves have such mythos surrounding them; from vile, feral depictions in old bestiaries to being regarded as gods. Yet, above all, a wolf is just a wolf. It cares nothing at all for ideals humans have placed upon them. As you say, as fierce as they can be, they may also turn around and raise a litter of pups. They exist not to be feral or fulfill any expectations, simply fighting to exist and survive in the world.

In this way (and I could rant onwards and forever) I draw a lot of inspiration from wolves personally, and I find more fulfillment than anything representing their different facets of being through artistic expression.

I feel like I'm sounding silly, but I feel like I'm describing some kind of feeling I've never quite found words for. Feeling feeling, so very feeling based.
