Part 1 of a commission for  Kanouky

I had the pleasure to design a mech with Kanouky for his character, Kanouky, who pilots the mech. :) I did the final illustration painting, and designed only the mech and pilot suit with guidance by Kanouky - Kanouky himself was designed by kanouky ^^ Since I was helping to concept a new mech design, this was a pretty different commission from my regular commissions, so I thought it'd be fun to show the development & concept art that went into creating the final mech!

* The eight images on the top-left are my initial sketches of different possible mech ideas after Kanouky gave me a description of the kind of mech he wanted to have. From these sketches, Kanouky chose his favorites, and then I did additional variations of his favorites, which you'll be able to see here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/142.....che=1407812028

* The two images on the right are further refining of the mech's design and reaching a final design we were happy with, which is the top-right image. ^^

* Finally, once we decided on the mech's design, the six images on the bottom-left are attack pose ideas for the final painting.
