You know, when I first ran across furry art a long time ago, I wondered why there weren't more characters like this - fuzzy but with more humanoid faces, complete with animal noses and ears. Kind of like Barf from Spaceballs, if that makes any sense. I feel like there is a lot of room for experimentation within the furry community that is largely left untouched; everyone makes fairly similar looking characters with similar human to animal ratios, and more-so than that they even have the same parts that stay human and animal. (So like they all have humanoid bodies but animal faces, paws, tails, and then usually a mix of animal and human for the hands.) That said there are definitely certain mixes that are more appealing than others, but still you'd think there would be more variation.
I actually have a LOT more to say about the subject but artist comments are probably not the place for it exactly, haha. Suffice to say I found this character design refreshingly unique and fun. :) More art is coming! Stay tuned peeps.

Many go more on the animal side and the humanoid side.
From what I think, I may be wrong there too, is that the users would try more to escape the human looking, enjoying more something else than being themselves as humans. The animal look are less present than seeing a more humanoid than animalistic character.
I don't count those who have a few animal traits there, like the anime catgirls,etc.
